| Customer Reviews: Great Help October 20, 2009 Barnie J. Galloway Our Vet Tech class for Anantomy and Physiology is fast paced and demanding. I have found this text to be more then helpful in understanding and passing my tests. Amazon was great in getting to me on time and for less then half of what my college bookstore wanted.
Excellent Second Edition January 1, 2009 C. Mooney (Washington State) I have both editions and come back to them all of the time. The Second has colored pictures and diagrams, so it's more interesting, for me, to look through and review.
Excellent new edition August 31, 2008 L. Wronski (Spring Grove, IL USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have always been impressed with th first edition of this text, and when I got the 2nd, I was pleased to see that they have managed to make it even better.
The information is presented in a clear format that makes the topics easy to understand. Explanations are not overly technical, but you still come away with a good understanding of the topic. There's lots of pictures and diagrams, as well as interesting information boxes, so it's not a dull, boring read. It helps you to understand the topic and if you want to move on to a more detailed text, it will give you a very solid base so you will be able to get into the more technical or involved aspects without being completely lost. I *highly* recommend this text for anyone who wants to learn animal A&P but is intimidated by more technical texts. By the time you get through this text you will be ready to tackle more detailed ones without any problem.
finally! April 6, 2008 R. Morgan (Mountain View, CA, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Finally a clear, well written Anatomy & Physiology textbook for Vet Techs! No more interpolating from the human anatomy books. This book is well written, with clear and easily understood illustrations. It may become difficult to find this book "used" in the next few years; it is a book I will keep long after the course is over, to refer to in other classes. The sidebar on nutrition was especially helpful in another class this year.
