| Customer Reviews: The best verterinary atlas I own. October 29, 2008 J. Li (Houston, Texas United States) I would recommend this atlas over any of the atlases recommended by my school. The labeling is clear, and the pictures are really nice. It was especially great for horse and ruminant anatomy. Also good for helping picture organs in 3 dimensions.
Anatomically Correct & Useful February 9, 2008 L. Shulman 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
As a vet student, this book has really helped me study large animal anatomy. The horse and goat pages are especially useful, including common clinical problems. I think this book would be wonderful for animal owners wanting to get a better idea of anatomy.
Review of the large animal atlas November 10, 2006 Mary Mehler (St. George's Vet Medical School) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
This book is an excellent resource for the serious student of veterinary medicine and clinician alike. The pictures and illustrations are so complete it is almost as good as a virtual dissection. The format is easily moved through and the quality of the book in material, picture, discussion, etc. are authoritative and extremely helpful to the novice and allow for quick reference for the experienced clinician.
Spurgeon's Color Atlas of Large Animal Anatomy June 10, 2000 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
I am a fourth year vet student and have found this book to be a great clinical reference book. It is an especially useful tool for rectal palpation - an essential skill for any large animal practitioner to master. I highly recommend Spurgeon's Atlas to anyone interested in large animal anatomy.
