I read most of this book because i am debating weather or not to get live stock for my small acerage. Goats seem to be a good starting point. This book was very informative. I never knew you could milk a goat let alone make cheese and other stuff with the milk. Good source of info for the novice like myself.

I got this book for my dad for the holidays and he had finished reading it three days later. A solid introduction to goat farming, it covers all the major bases and we will continue to refer to it in the year to come as we begin a hobby farm!

I needed a book to cover every basic dairy goat husbandry topic. I got just that when I purchased this book. I consider this to be one of the best references on dairy goats in our library.

I have owned this book for years and really like it a lot it was great when I was new to goats and knewn almost nothing. Now 18 years later it is still a great book with lots of info on lots of subjects. Wish she would write a new one that covered some of the new problems we face now.

Though I havent read through it completely, a friend of mine who has had goats for years has this too. I am sure it is a great book. It is simple to read and very informative.
