Info, info, and pics October 27, 2009 S. Tracey (USA) I read most of this book because i am debating weather or not to get live stock for my small acerage. Goats seem to be a good starting point. This book was very informative. I never knew you could milk a goat let alone make cheese and other stuff with the milk. Good source of info for the novice like myself.
terrific primer for beginning hobby farmers December 31, 2008 K. O'Donnell (Marquette, MI USA) I got this book for my dad for the holidays and he had finished reading it three days later. A solid introduction to goat farming, it covers all the major bases and we will continue to refer to it in the year to come as we begin a hobby farm!
Great coverage of Basic Goat Husbandry December 28, 2008 Turtle Creek Farm 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I needed a book to cover every basic dairy goat husbandry topic. I got just that when I purchased this book. I consider this to be one of the best references on dairy goats in our library.
owed this book for years October 22, 2008 Lynn Swiss (Mo. USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have owned this book for years and really like it a lot it was great when I was new to goats and knewn almost nothing. Now 18 years later it is still a great book with lots of info on lots of subjects. Wish she would write a new one that covered some of the new problems we face now.
Great goat book March 12, 2008 Jessica L. Stirrat (Gainesville, FL USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Though I havent read through it completely, a friend of mine who has had goats for years has this too. I am sure it is a great book. It is simple to read and very informative.
