| Customer Reviews: Great book for the beginner January 16, 2007 L. Lee (Alabama) My pot bellied pig is the first one I have ever owned and I wanted to make sure I knew all the things I should and shouldn't do. After researching several books this looked like the best one. After receiving it I was sure this was the best one. It has everything a newcomer (or an old pro) to the pot bellied pig world needs to know.

Excellent, refrence manual. Nice to have one from a veterinarian's prospective. The diagrams and pictures are extremly helpful. I'd recommend this book to anyone in the market for a pot bellied pig. In my case, I've had a pet pig for 13 years; and after reading the book found that I wasn't as knowledgeable as I'd originally thought on the subject.
Vet Care of Pot-bellied Pigs August 25, 2000 18 out of 19 found this review helpful
This book is PERFECT for the reader craving knowledge, or theirvet. It has all the information you should ever need (142 pgs) with photograghs and drawings, and is pleasingly readable but scientifically correct also. Especially when used in conjunction with Veterinary Management of Miniature Pigs by Lisle George, DVM ... you will feel like a confident and informed pig owner, although either could stand alone. It is especially good with helping the reader decide what is and isn't necessary, and good prophilactic tactics to avoid trouble.
