| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Mary Bromiley's book remains essential reading for both professionals and the general riding community. This new edition builds on the huge success of the previous editions, first published in 1987. Fully updated to reflect recent technological advances in diagnostic ability, as well as the proven physiological effects of light, magnetic fields and electrical currents on body tissues. This information allows readers to both understand and make an informed choice of appropriate therapy following a diagnosed injury. The original edition was the first book on the subject and it has continued to be a bestseller. Covers a subject that is of worldwide interest. The author is recognised as a pioneer at the forefront of this type of treatment.
Book Description Since the first edition was published in 1987, this book has become essential reading for owners and trainers of racing and competition horses, as well as veterinary surgeons and physiotherapists. Basic anatomy is explained and linked to common injury, followed by the various methods of treatment and the latest equipment. The book has been updated throughout and the chapter on rehabilitation has been expanded substantially to reflect the advances which have taken place. The chapter on common sites of injury has been rewritten to explain also how visual, palpable and biomechanical examinations can pinpoint subclinical abnormalities and how early recognition and corrective action can avoid a catastrophic breakdown.

| Customer Reviews: A 'must' for any serious horse library. August 9, 2007 Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The new updated edition of Equine Injury, Therapy and Rehabilitation is a winner for the horse-riding community, fully updating technological advances in diagnostic ability and animal physiology. In addition to a foundation of equine anatomy it surveys common equine and rider injuries, explains rehabilitation and recovery processes, and describes all manner of horse physiology in the process. A 'must' for any serious horse library.
